If experience is the best teacher, isn't that what you've learned in life worth passing along? You've had plenty of experience in meeting your everyday needs, so how about helping someone else?

The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) gives persons age 55 and over the opportunity to serve the community. If you'd like to fill your extra hours with activities involving people of all ages, you should volunteer.

R.S.V.P. places emphasis on volunteer work that meets your needs, suits your skills and allows you to continue utilizing your talents - whatever you desire! Emphasis is not placed on formal education, but upon your preferences helping others.

During an interview at the R.S.V.P. office or your home, we'll find an activity in our files of volunteer requests that's right for you. Perhaps you might also know of an agency or organization that needs the assistance of a volunteer that we know nothing about.

R.S.V.P. will never leave you in a job you don't enjoy. In fact, your volunteer experience will also be tailored to the number of hours you wish to work. R.S.V.P. also provides a recognition for the many hours of service that you give to the community on an annual basis.

You are also covered with personal injury insurance from the time you leave your home to the time you arrive back - directly to and from a volunteer assignment, at no charge.

There are no membership fees!

We at R.S.V.P. look at a volunteer assignment as providing the volunteer with the satisfaction of feeling needed and of doing something that is self-satisfying.

Being a volunteer is a social experience, allowing you the opportunity to make new friends - both with other men and women donating their time and with the people you help.

Don't be shy or feel you have nothing to offer. Anything you have learned along the path of life can be used in today's world. Give a little of yourself through volunteering! Many individuals and agencies need your assistance as an R.S.V.P. volunteer.
